Bennic

Overview

Bennic Halloren is a Republic Intelligence officer stationed at the Den on the Ring of Kafrene, where he coordinates intelligence operations with Zero Company.

Bennic serves as the liaison between Zero Company and the Republic, providing mission intelligence and strategic direction. He does not deploy on field missions. His surname, Halloren, was confirmed in EA’s July 2026 community Q&A.

Rank and Motivation

EA describes Bennic as a young Lieutenant whose intelligence, ambition, and idealism have made him a rising star in Republic Intelligence.

His reason for hiring the squad is a professional gamble. He has become convinced that the Infinite Coil, which EA characterises here as “a comparatively small Separatist faction”, poses a far greater threat than his superiors realise, and he contracts Zero Company to hunt them down on that conviction. That framing makes the Coil’s threat level a matter of internal Republic dispute at the point the campaign begins, and puts Bennic’s own standing behind the contract.

Operations

Bennic is the squad’s most frequent source of work on the HoloTable. Six Operations come from him or his contacts, more than any other named character brings in, which is consistent with a Republic Intelligence handler rather than a field Operator:

Four of the six sit in the Republic and Separatists groups, the two most directly tied to the war itself. The other two are the exceptions worth noting: Charity Fund comes through one of his contacts rather than from him, and Shili Outbreak sends the squad after a possible Shadow Plague outbreak, which is the only one of his jobs that touches the campaign’s central thread.
