Heavy

Overview

The Heavy is one of the eight standard classes (called Specializations in game) available to any operator in Star Wars Zero Company. EA describes it as:

The Heavy is a frontline combatant, heavily armored and tough as nails. These Operators specialize in survivability and soaking up enemy attacks while out in the open.

Abilities

AbilitySlotCostEffect
BulwarkUltimate4 AdvantageTaunts all enemies in the target area, forcing them to attack this Operator; also increases Defense by +2 for the rest of this turn. Once per turn, at a range of 16.0m
UnstoppableStandardUnknownGain 2 Stacks of Retaliation; each stack permits a counter against the next incoming attack. Cast on this Operator, once per turn, until its top rank extends it to allies
ConditioningPassiveNoneIncreases this Operator's Max Health by +4
Heavy Armor TrainingPassiveNoneIncreases this Operator's Defense by +2
Intimidating PosturePassiveNoneThis Operator's primary Blaster Attacks Taunt the target on a hit. The third Heavy passive, which is why this class fills five ability slots rather than four

Bulwark

The Ultimate Taunts all enemies in the target area, forcing them to attack this operator, and increases Defense by +2 for the rest of the turn.

Unstoppable

Grants 2 stacks of Retaliation. Each stack permits a counter against the next incoming attack.

Conditioning

Increases this operator’s Max Health by +4.

Heavy Armor Training

Increases this operator’s Defense by +2.

Intimidating Posture

This operator’s primary Blaster Attacks Taunt the target on a hit, pulling enemies onto the Heavy through ordinary shooting rather than through an ability spend. It is the Heavy’s third passive, and the reason this class fills five ability slots where the other seven standard classes fill four.

Confirmed interactions

  • Conditioning and Heavy Armor Training are both unconditional, so a Heavy with Bulwark active carries +4 Defense in total for that turn
  • Intimidating Posture and Bulwark stack as two routes to the same effect: the passive Taunts one target per hit, the Ultimate Taunts everything in its area
  • The Scoundrel’s Scoundrel’s Instinct passive ignores up to 4 points of Defense
  • Taunt also appears as a Universal Talent, available to any operator regardless of class

Earlier preview attribution

PC Gamer’s March 2026 hands-on described the Heavy’s ultimate as a rocket launcher blast. The Heavy’s Ultimate is Bulwark, and Rocket Strike is the Soldier’s Ultimate.

Upgrade ranks

Every ability above continues past its base values through the Focus Tree, where each rank costs Focus Points and improves the effect. Ranks with no recorded value are left out rather than filled in by inference.

The Heavy carries three passives, so its kit fills five ability slots where the other seven standard classes fill four.
