CharactersJae Mordant

Jae Mordant

Overview

Jae Mordant is a confirmed squad member of Zero Company and one of the faction’s most politically connected operators. Born into the ruthless noble House Mordant of Shu-Torun, she went offworld to build her own mining citadel on Luunata, ruling it as its Ore-Baroness — until the Infinite Coil took the planet for the Separatists.

Described by EA as “sophisticated, witty, and relentlessly self-possessed,” Jae was instrumental in convincing the Republic to hire Zero Company for the operation against the Coil. She will not rest until Luunata is hers again — giving her a personal stake in the campaign that extends beyond any contract.

Background

Jae’s origins are in the aristocracy of Shu-Torun, a mining world defined by ruthless political competition among its noble houses. Rather than remain embedded in that system, she broke away — going offworld to establish her own domain on Luunata, where she ruled as Ore-Baroness of her own mining citadel.

The loss of Luunata to the Infinite Coil converts Jae from a detached political operator into a direct stakeholder. Her ability to leverage Republic Intelligence through Bennic and deploy Zero Company against the Coil reflects significant political reach. She is described as having been “instrumental in convincing the Republic to hire Zero Company.”

Gameplay

Jae’s confirmed signature ability is a random finishing blow assist — described by PC Gamer as similar to Fallout’s Mysterious Stranger. This ability persists through any class respec.

In the SGF 2026 gameplay trailer, Jae is confirmed as part of the opening mission squad alongside Hawks, Trick, and Kabb Uppercut.
