Typhon

Overview

Typhon is a super tactical droid operating alongside the Infinite Coil. EA’s official enemies hub sets the droid apart from its peers:

Most super tactical droids command droid armies and fleets. Typhon specializes in asymmetrical warfare and precision strikes against vulnerable targets. Republic Intelligence reports note something strange: the droid appears to have developed a fixation on the Shadow Plague, and the woman who embodies it, Kundri Fathom.

Doctrine

Where a standard super tactical droid directs massed armies and fleets, Typhon works at the opposite scale. Its speciality is asymmetrical warfare: precision strikes aimed at vulnerable targets rather than set-piece engagements against a defended line. That doctrine makes Typhon a different kind of threat to the Republic than the Separatist commanders it was built to resemble.

Fixation on the Shadow Plague

Republic Intelligence flags Typhon’s behaviour as anomalous. The droid has developed a fixation on the Shadow Plague and on Kundri Fathom, the woman EA describes as embodying it. A tactical droid forming a fixation is itself the irregularity being reported, over and above the Coil’s own threat.
