Assault

Overview

The Assault is one of the eight standard classes (called Specializations in game) available to any operator in Star Wars Zero Company. EA describes it as:

The Assault is a frontline fighter that excels at maneuvering in battle to score medium to close-range kills against targets hiding in cover. Operators trained in this way are lethal opponents.

Sweeping Salvo

The Ultimate deals damage in a large cone and applies Disoriented to all enemies within it.

Shown in combat at an upgraded rank as Sweeping Salvo III: a Cone Special Action costing 7 Advantage for 14 damage, applying Disoriented 1.

Bull Rush

Charges into an enemy, dealing Melee Damage and Pushing the target backwards. Bit Reactor’s community Q&A confirms that pushing an enemy into a void, such as a turbolift shaft, water, or a cliff, is an instant kill. See Combat System for environmental kills.

Fleet of Foot

Increases this operator’s First Movement by 1.0m.

Strike the Flanks

Grants a +20% Critical Chance bonus against Exposed enemies. Exposed is the status applied by flanking an enemy, moving around its cover; see Combat System.

Confirmed interactions

  • Exposed is applied by flanking, and by the Heavy’s Bulwark, which taunts enemies in a target area into attacking the Heavy
  • Disoriented is applied only by Sweeping Salvo among confirmed abilities; see the statuses table

Earlier preview attribution

PC Gamer’s March 2026 hands-on described the Assault’s ultimate as a triple shot paid from the shared Advantage pool. The Assault’s Ultimate is Sweeping Salvo, a cone attack, and the multi-shot ultimate is Open Fire, which belongs to the Gunslinger.
