Outlaws
Overview
The Outlaws are one of the three announced enemy factions in Star Wars Zero Company, alongside the Separatist Alliance and the Infinite Coil. They represent the galaxy’s criminal element, and creative director Greg Foertsch describes their distinct threat plainly: Outlaws can overwhelm you with numbers.
In Combat
Each of the three enemy factions is designed to force a different tactical approach. Where Separatist droids can be efficiently dispatched with Ion weapons and Infinite Coil units demand careful kill prioritisation, the Outlaws pressure the squad through sheer volume of enemies.
PC Gamer’s hands-on preview described fighting “Star Wars’ cantina-loving criminal element” alongside battle droids, which appears to be this faction in action.
The Outlaw Roster
The released game fields ten Outlaw units, and the roster is built to match that description rather than merely to accompany it.
Every Outlaw unit is a line unit. The Outlaws are the only faction in the game with no boss: the Infinite Coil fields four and the Imperials one, while the Outlaws field none at all. There is no single high-value target to remove, which is the mechanical opposite of the kill-prioritisation problem the Coil sets.
The ten units are four role templates repeated across three sub-groups: unaligned Outlaws, the Pyke Syndicate, and Slugrats.
| Role | Threat | Health | Damage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enforcer | 100 | 28 | 10 |
| Striker | 100 | 30 | 12 |
| Marauder | 133 | 28 | 10 |
| Sniper | 133 | 28 | 10 |
Those stat lines are not exclusive to the Outlaws. The game reuses the same templates across factions, so an Outlaw Enforcer, a Pyke Enforcer and a Slugrat Enforcer share a stat line with their Coil equivalent; what changes between them is the abilities and the appearance. Full stat lines for every faction are on Enemies.
What this produces is a faction with no elite tier and no anchor: modest individual units at 28 to 30 Health, deployed in volume against a mission’s threat budget. See Enemies for how threat budgets a force.
