Squad Customisation
Hawks
Players fully customise Hawks at the start of the game. Options include:
- Sex / gender
- Species — Human, Togruta, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Mirialan, or Devaronian
- Appearance — hair, colours, and other visual details
- Class — one of the 8 standard classes (see below)
Hawks can be re-customised at any time at the character terminal in the Den.
Story Companions
The six story companions have fixed appearances but can be re-customised between missions:
- Outfits can be changed freely
- Class / specialisation can be changed, with one exception: Tel-Rea Vokoss always remains a Jedi Padawan and cannot be reassigned to another class
| Companion | Species | Default Class |
|---|---|---|
| Trick | Human (clone, CT-3301) | Standard — Soldier |
| Cly Kullervo | Human (Mandalorian) | Exotic — Mandalorian |
| Luco Bronc | Umbaran | Standard (sniper) |
| Tel-Rea Vokoss | Tognath | Exotic — Jedi Padawan (locked) |
| Jae Mordant | Unknown | Standard |
| Kabb Uppercut | Felshi | Standard |
Custom Recruits
In addition to story companions, players can recruit and fully build custom fighters. These are created from scratch with full choice of:
- Species — Human, Togruta, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Mirialan, Devaronian, Weequay, Rodian, Ovissian, or Neimoidian (10 species; a wider pool than Hawks)
- Appearance, sex, and voice
- Any of the 8 standard classes
- Personality — chosen from 10 personality types including Maverick, Wildcard, Professional, and Bruiser
- Loadout and equipment
Custom recruits are subject to permadeath in the same way as story companions.
Astromech Droids
Players can also build Astromech droids as squad members at the character terminal. Available models include the familiar R2 and R3 series, as well as BR-1 — a new Astromech model designed specifically for Zero Company by Bit Reactor.
