Can Hawks be a Jedi?

Do squad members die permanently?

Are there romance options?
No. There are no romance systems or branching story paths. The story is linear, though some story moments change depending on who is in your squad.
Are there microtransactions or DLC?
Bit Reactor says there are no plans for monetisation or microtransactions at this time, and nothing has been announced for DLC or post-launch content.
Is it coming to Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck?
