The Caisson

Overview

The Caisson is Zero Company’s transport starship, piloted by the utility droid M-3VO. It serves as the squad’s mobile base of operations when away from the Den on the Ring of Kafrene.

The two should not be confused: EA describes the Den as a defunct bulk freighter that houses the squad’s facilities, while the Caisson is the working ship that carries them to missions.

Role

The Caisson is used to deploy Zero Company to mission locations across the galaxy. In the context of the Clone Wars (~20 BBY), the squad’s need for an independent transport reflects their off-books status: operating outside formal Republic command, they cannot rely on Republic military logistical support.

Pilot: M-3VO

The Caisson is piloted by M-3VO (“Meevo”), a bipedal utility droid who also provides medic support and logistics for the squad. M-3VO is the primary confirmed crew member of the Caisson. EA states he previously served the Republic as an all-purpose medical evacuation droid, flying shuttles into warzones and disaster zones, which is where both the piloting and the medical skills originate.
